Foodbank Tiruvanamalai

A Sadhu is a religious ascetic, mendicant monk or any holy person in Hindu or Jainism who has renounced worldly life. They are also sometimes referred to as Yogi, Sanyasi or Vairagi. Literally, it means one who practices a "Sadhana" or zealously follows a path of spiritual discipline. The Sadhu dedicates himself exclusively to attaining Moksa, liberation from the cycle of death and rebirth.

At the Sai Shakti Center in Tiruvanamalai, South India, Sadhus are given nourishing meal once a week.

The plan is to build permanent kitchen on the plot of land acquired in 2022, so the food can be provided to the Sadhus on daily basis.
